Reigate History

This charming old film of Brockham, complete with sound, was originally filmed by the North Downs Cine Society in 1958. The orginal standard 8mm film has been transferred by BVP and the complete film (running time 14 minutes) is available on DVD.

It is all filmed around Brockham Green and features the Medieval Festival of 1958. The villagers are dressed in magnificent Medieval Costume. As well as many villagers the film also features the Chessington Fencing Club, the Monotype Band, the Way House Children, Robertson Pipers and well-known national-hunt jockeys in a donkey derby.
